Come and see what happens at your local airport. If you have ever wondered about how to get into aviation, either flying or in maintenance, this is a great opportunity to see how this can be achieved on your doorstep. See the maintenance shops, meet the engineers and see what they do. RDS Aviation and Guardian Aerospace are full time aviation shops.
Our airport is a vital part of our transportation system, most notably for the medical evacuations by air that are a regular happening for the region.
The Vanderhoof Flying Club will be there, also demonstrations of model aircraft and powered parachutes. We will have some interesting aircraft dropping in to view, and maybe get a ride in! Cadets will be recruiting and There will be a drone company on hand. The new greatly expanded VanJam wildfire base is located here, with all the assets for fire suppression.
Just drive up and park where indicated.
Food will be available by donation.

1938 Tiger Moth – WIN A FREE FLIGHT
You could win a FREE FLIGH aboard the 1938 Tiger Moth, donated by the Airshow Society. Just turn up on September 9th 2023, enter your name in the draw, and be present when the draw is made at the end of the day. GOOD LUCK!
If you do not win, you can still ride along in the Tiger Moth with Prince George local Chris Baldwin by making a contribution for expenses. Chris has ample experience from the Tiger Moth all the way up to modern biz jets!
No reservations needed, just join us from 10:00am to 3:00pm. No age or size limits.
Ootsa Air
Oootsa Air will be bringing their aircraft and crew to the Vandehroof Airport Open day. Have you considered chartering rather than the major airlines? Avoid the hour(s) drive to to PG Airport. Avoid the mandatory waiting time AT the airport.

Avoid the waiting time on the ramp at either end. Avoid the big airport luggage waiting and traffic hassle at YVR. With 5 or 6 passengers and two hours from your local airport to Vancouver things are not so expensive!
YMCA
The Vanderhoof YMCA will be on site with some fun activations for children to supplement all of the aviation activities that we will have.
