The Vanderhoof International Airshow would like to announce a re-structuring to their Summer 2024 event, which will now be held on Saturday August 3rd.

Due to potential wild-fires this Summer, the Vanderhoof International Airshow Society is changing from a traditional airshow to: “The Masters of the Air Exhibition”. We have reimagined our event to mitigate any complications that the wildfires impose.

As such, we are excited to have a B17 Flying Fortress (the star of the Apple + TV Series ‘Masters of the Air’) coming to Prince George and Vanderhoof. This will be accompanied by several other rare fighter aircraft and local flyers.

For a once in a lifetime opportunity, you will be able to tour the B17 and actually fly in it! (cost breakdown will be available on our website).

B17 Aircraft Tours are being arranged at the Prince George International Airport (YXS) on Thursday August 1st (weather dependent), and flights in the B17 Flying Fortress, the P-51D Mustang, Harvard Mk4 and P-40E Kittyhawk will be available in Vanderhoof on August 3rd. Information on how to book a tour or flight will be available on our website.

On the field will be child care (YMCA), food services, aviation book sellers, CASARA running a 50/50 draw, model aircraft displays and much more!

Admission is $10 per person and $5 for 12 years old or younger.

More information will be available on our website as we tie up the loose ends.

Our Airshow Society members have put countless volunteer hours into restructuring this event in order to continue to bring the History and Education of Aviation to our community and our area. We cannot express enough how appreciative we are for our supporters, and our continuing sponsors!

If you wish to help support/sponsor this wonderful event, there is still time for your business to take part! Please contact Paul Collard at pcollard6@gmail.com or 250-567-8724 for more sponsorship information.

Thank you,

Vanderhoof Airshow Society
